When You Are Engulfed in Flames

Many of you are probably unaware that I am a big reader. I have had an addiction to books ever since I was a little kid. This probably explains the high powered lenses I have weighing down my glasses. I will read anything; fiction, non fiction, fantasy, horror, crime, biographies... as long as it's well written. Some of my favorite books are Capote's In Cold Blood, David Sedaris Naked, Tim Dorsey Florida Road Kill, and Terry Goodkinds The Sword of Truth series. One of these authors, David Sedaris, is the funniest writer I have ever come across. His humor is very dry and witty. You need to be able to appreciate a subtle, intelligent style of sarcasm to fully digest one of his books. He recently came out with his sixth book of essays called, "When You Are Engulfed In Flames". I have only had this book for a few hours and I have already torn through the first few chapters. Until now, his book Naked has been my favorite of the six, but I am starting to wonder if this new book will take the number one spot.

The book is on sale, 30% off, at Borders. Do yourself a favor and go pick it up.
